With contemporary technologies and new information processing systems, there is more cross-fertilization between design disciplines than ever before. How can the process of interdisciplinary production be promoted between design professions such as fashion, architecture, and industrial design? These design fields can foster bold and radical ideas, which are wearable and appearance-based and can draw connections between the structure and skin of a building with that of the human body and clothing.

Today, many people seek immediate gratification by acquiring material objects to fulfill their needs. When a space encourages individuals to focus on spiritual fulfillment, they have the potential to strengthen the community, as they support one another.

Architectural space can create moments that encourage visitors to transcend their daily surroundings and be free to contemplate something larger than them. Such spaces encourage community values, respect, understanding and harmony through shared experiences.

The bat plays a significant role in the rituals of the batter's box. Much like hitting, the making of a baseball bat is an art in itself. From cutting down the trees, to making billets, and spinning the bat on the lathe, each step of the process is carefully calculated. The precision is apparent in the several quality control stages such as weighing the bat and checking the grain direction. Juxtaposing the specimen of a finished bat with its natural surroundings amplifies the craftsmanship behind making a baseball bat.
