LUNENBURG, NOVA SCOTIA - Norwich University students joined McGill University’s field drawing class in Lunenburg, a former fishing port and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This “extreme’ drawing experience entailed working 8 hours or more a day for 8 days, with 4 evening review sessions in a church hall. Student work covered an 8’ high by 50’ area! One night, Jack Diamond, a leading Canadian architect and avid watercolorist, was the guest critic.
Master teachers David Covo and Ricardo Castro presented 3 outdoor painting and drawing workshops: with these colleagues, Professor Leytham bicycled the steep street assisting students.
